2 Washi tape
This Japanese tape is typically made from natural fibers such as bamboo or hemp, the mulberry, the mitsumata shrub or the gampi tree, which are typically found from the bark of Japanese trees. If you are a crafter you may have already of seen these tapes around. They are very affordable, come in a variety of colours and designs, easy to remove and re-apply without leaving adhesive residue.

Also known as ‘renters wallpaper’ – this beauty eliminated the need for paste of water. It simply requires that you remove the backing and adhere to a primed, smooth and painted surface. Not happy with the result? Just peel it off and start again.

5 Play with colour
